Kings Norton family in doomed flat ‘so cold and damp’ they live in coats and dressing gowns

Emma Reynolds and her two children are struggling with the ‘horrible’ living conditions in a property that is earmarked for demolition

A young mum and her two children are having to ‘live in their coats and dressing gowns inside a freezing cold and damp’ Birmingham flat.

Emma Reynolds, three-year-old son Lewis and daughter Leah, 8, spend day and night wrapped up in extra layers in their ‘unfit’ property in Shannon Road, Kings Norton.

The 25-year-old claims she wakes every morning with a ‘big puddle’ on her bedroom floor from the dripping window and has to throw some of the kids’ damp toys away.
